The Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 4:4, ”Rejoice in the Lord always…” That means that even when we don’t feel like praising God, we need to do so as an act of our faith. To drive home this point, Paul repeats himself in the second half of the verse, ”i will say it again, rejoice.” The Bible says that we can tell ourselves to praise God, even if we don’t feel like doing it. King David declared in Psalm 103:1, ”Blass the lord , oh my soul ; and all that is within me bless His holy name.” God will do powerful things in our lives if we praise Him.
When bad things happen and you don’t feel like praising Him, ask the Holy spirit to give you grace and help to praise Him in the midst of the trial. You will see God move on your behalf as you give Him praise in all things, and even for all things.
